Pete Townshend

Pete Townshend was born on this day in 1945, in Chiswick, Middlesex, England. A founding member of The Who, whose classics “My Generation” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again” became anthems for a generation. Townshend’s rock operas Tommy and Quadropenia were both adapted for the big screen. He’s also a member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
