The Britannicas are four guys well-known in discriminating pop circles; Herb Eimerman (US), Joe Algeri (Australia), Magnus Karlsson (Sweden) and Stefan Johansson (Sweden). Drawn together by their love of melodic, guitar-driven pop, the foursome records remotely, joining the final elements via computer.
Like most of us, they’re quarantined with a lot of time on their hands, though they’re probably quarantined with a much better collection of guitars than most of us. “Walls & Stars” is a Herb Eimerman song, supported by a really wonderful wall of guitars that manage to be jangly and crunchy at the same time. With an optimistic vibe, when Eimerman sings, “The sun will shine again,” you believe him. The best news is, you can have this tune for free!
