Jackie Gleason

Born on this day in 1916, in Brooklyn, New York, actor and conductor, Jackie Gleason. While Gleason is primarily known for his iconic role as Ralph Kramden on The Honeymooners, he was also a first-rate film actor, appearing in Orchestra Wives, Springtime In The Rockies, The Hustler, and the Smokey and The Bandit series. He also conducted his own orchestra, which produced dozens of successful records.
